Exploring Digital Media with art, design, and education.

Welcome to the West Valley College DM/IS10D Digital Images: Advanced Photoshop Section: 84663

Lessons Discussion/Chat Help Home

Welcome to the Advanced Photoshop class. I assume you know the basic of photoshop before you start this class. I don't have the time to explain basic concepts as pixels and RGB. I would like this to be a production class. This is where students make images that they are proud of and can use in a portfolio. This means don't randomly steal photos off the Internet and use in your assignments, Find or buy a digital camera to use for this class. Or Borrow one of my cameras. The class will be broken into 4 sections. Photoshop for Photographers, Photoshop for Artist, Photoshop for the Web, and Photoshop for Film/Video/3-D.

Words of Advise:

  1. Come to class. - Yes I know we are teaching 2 classes at the same time, but there is plenty of handouts and homework you can do in class while I am explaining things to Advanced Illustrator students.
  2. Have problems - email the teacher - jrascov2@yahoo.com
  3. Follow the schedule in the lessons. Yes I know you want to learn everything about Photoshop, but take you time and try to understand the concepts and not just the tools.
  4. Be professional in assignment and homework.

Heres a syllabus to get started.
