Course Description:
Flash is an excellent software application for incorporating dynamic animation
and sound into a web site, video, and CD-ROM. Interactive web pages
incorporating graphics, animation, sound, and programming will be created
using Adobe Flash.
Objectives: Each week will be a list of objectives. Look under the lessons section.
Class schedule - Online and at your own pace. Only time we meet is in Chat times.
Materials - Internet connection, Flash/Photoshop/Illustrator software. CS4 or CS5.
Book - Adobe Flash Professional CS5 - "classroom in a book" ISBN - 0-321-70180-1
Grading -
You can receive a Grade or Pass/No Pass option.
Grading is done on the traditional letter grade, A through F, basis. The
grade will be computed based on the following elements,
Basic list of assignment are as follows
You will upload all assignments to the class server. The class server will have a folder with your name, You will FTP all assignment to the server. If you don't know how to FTP. Please watch the videos provided and learn. We will not start uploading till week 3.
By the end of this class you will need to have all you files uploaded to the server.
- Send links to Flash Web Sites, this is just an email of web sites you find, not placed on server.
- 2 drawings - Landscape and Animal
- Bird flyings sample
- Frame-by-Frame animation
- Mask and bones
- slide show - Photo sound animation
- Tell target
- Video and sound on site
- Load movie programming and animation
- Final animated web site
There is a 20 question Final Test.
I don't give points for assignment, I will review and send you comments. The general rule in my class is. Do all the assignments and pass the final exam and you will receive an A.
If you cheat, don’t do your own work, you will receive F.
