Course Description:
Flash is an excellent software application for incorporating dynamic animation
and sound into a web site, video, and CD-ROM. Interactive web pages
incorporating graphics, animation, sound, and programming will be created
using Adobe Flash.

Objectives: Each week will be a list of objectives. Lesson section will list each weeks requirements.

Class schedule - Online

Materials - Internet connection, Flash/Photoshop/Illustrator software. CS4 or CS5 or 5.5. I only have 5.0.

Book - Adobe Flash Professional CS5 - "classroom in a book" ISBN - 0-321-70180-1 - We will follow each chapter in the book.

Grading -
You can receive a Grade or Pass/No Pass option.
Grading is done on the traditional letter grade, A through F, basis. You do the book lesson and the extra assignments listed below and you will receive an A.
Basic list of assignment are as follows

You will upload all assignments to the class server. I am not sure which server I will be using yet. The class server will have a folder with your name, You will FTP all assignment to the server. If you don't know how to FTP. Please watch the videos provided and learn. We will not start uploading till week 3.

Assignments

1. Book Chapter - we will follow all the chapters in the book. But some of the assignments will not be done from the book. They will be videos that I have posted that you can follow. Book Chapter 60% of your grade, and 40% of your grade for the rest of the assignment listed.
2. Send links to Flash Web Sites, this is just an email of web sites you find, not placed on server.
3. 2 drawings - Landscape and Animal - like chapter 2 in book
4. Frame-by-Frame animation - the talking mouth
5. We ad - Like the ads you see on Yahoo - most of them are done with Flash. Sample Ad
6. slide show - Photo sound animation - this is like chapter 4 in book - Slide Show Example
7. Video and sound on site - Just do chapter 8 in Book
8. Final animated web site - You are to make a sample like chapter 6 in the book. But you take the concepts of chapter 6 and make you own sample for final project. - Sample final project.
