Welcome to the West Valley College Digital Audio/Video Class. This class is a great introduction to Audio and Video on the computer. We will learn how to make different types of videos, compress them for web, i-Pods, DVD's. How to upload videos to web sites like youtube and other web video marketing sites. I have been working on the material for this class for 3 years. Most of the instruction will be in the form of online video instruction. You will view the videos and try the concepts presented. There is alot of material presented in this class. I have both Macintosh and Windows instruction. Some of you may not have the same software that I am presenting. I do not expect you to watch everything. Just watch the parts that get you to your goals. This does not mean I don't expect you to do the assignments. What I mean is if you have a certain video that you are doing for your job, do that for the assignment. Being frustrated. Yes you will be. Video editing software can be complicated. You will have hardware issues. Plugging in things to your computer may not work the first time. I still have problems getting video cameras to capture. Please be patient. I will try to answer your questions as best I can. I do not have windows Vista or the Mac 10.5. I use windows XP and Mac 10.4. Much of the software and hardware should work if you have the proper software installed on the computer.
