Lesson 4 - Video on the web.

This week I want you to learn about other video web sites. Vimeo is one Video Portal for online video there are many more. If you have not finished your first video, complete this week and place on Vimeo. Try to finish by Wednesday, so we can chat about the videos on Feb. 24. If you are already done with you video, Next week we will record sound "voice" into computer. Make sure to have Audcity or some other recordeing software.

Read chapter 7 in the Web Video Book. It has info on how to compress and upload your videos. Read this chapter and learn more about other web portals. Watch how Harvey talks about video, Fan Film.

Other video sites - This week I want you to post your slide show video on a Video hosting site or your own site.

  1. http://www.vimeo.com - this is my favorite video site. The quality seem much better than youtube. Sign up and post your video on this site, if you like.
  2. How to use http://www.vimeo.com
  3. http://www.youtube.com - I believe everyone know this one. The problem - too many crappy videos, Quality of image is poor.
  4. How to use Youtube
  5. http://www.dailymotion.com/us - I like the variety of videos on this site.

On page 24 in the book is a list of video sites you can use. The 3 above I recommend.

 

Training for the week. - I am still working on the videos for this week. I am working sunday and monday morning.

Hard core Compression reading. I will explain some of these concepts in a video in next few weeks.
