Lesson 1

This week we will discuss Video and Audio files formats. In addition we will learn about frame size and shape. We will learn about Audio size and formats.

We need to have an assignment where we use Photoshop to make a title like video. This is new to Photoshop and needed to have new assignment.

Lesson 2

This week we will begin looking at video frame sizes and resizing images "photos" to mix in editing application.

Computer work - download images, "or photograph your own images" resize the images in Photoshop for video.

Week 2 videos

Lesson 3

Assignment due. You will need to export your music and picture mix. Learn this week to export video. Yes we change till next week.

Heres what I want you to do:

  1. Make a mix of music and sound effects. about 1 minute long. On windows you can use Premiere on mac sound track Pro. There is a folder of sound effects on the computers in classroom or you can download off the Internet.
  2. Find images on the Internet or take you own. Make sure to resize the images in Photoshop. 720x480 and .9 pixel ratio
  3. Mix the picture to the sound in a video editing application. Windows - Premiere or there is a free windows I-movie like application from microsoft. or I-Movie on Mac "very easy" or Final Cut Pro on mac.
  4. Compress for DV and bring to class on the Feb 26

Lesson 4

This week you will need to practice on video editing. Next assignment will be to compress a video for TV, DVD, Internet, and I-pod. You can use the Video from first assignment, or make a new assignment, or use the video we shoot in class. Due week 6.

Lesson 6
  1. This week we will be shooting a two person interview. Make sure to read the handout provided last week.
