It is very important that you learn how to use and communicate through e-mail. Many businesses use e-mail to communicate to employees as-well-as outside the company to people like customers. Many jobs require you to e-mail a resume when applying for a position, especially in digital media.
You should have a free e-mail account. These e-mail accounts allow you to receive e-mail where ever there is a Internet connection. I use Yahoo for all my e-mail that is not personal.	Free e-mail services: Click on Sign up

It is important when using e-mail that you understand the proper etiquette. There are many cool and fun ways of letting people know what you are trying to communicate. For example, you can send things like Smiley face to represent expressions. :-0 No Yelling! (Quiet Lab) :-D User is laughing (at you!) O :-) User is an angel (at heart, at least).
