I visited the most south west province in France - the Pyrenees Atlantique. It borders Spain and the Atlantic ocean, and is the heart of rural France. Known for producing fois grois and sweet dessert wines, the highlight of any visit here is to go for a hike in the Pyrenees, and enjoy the hot springs that attract visitors
from around the world. Rural France casts its own magical spell on visitors who delight in puttering around small country roads in little Renaults or Citroens seeking out vineyards, restaurants and other hidden treasures.
For all the sights and tastes in France, the best part are its people. Kind, warm and always taking the time to listen and help, the French are wonderful ambassadors to a country brimming with a zest for living and a passion for earthly delights. France makes one glad to be alive and living on this earth. |
