The CSEA Victory Club raises money to help us pass local school bonds, increase education funding, elect better school board members and educate the public about important ballot measures. Every Victory Club dollar is spent on election issues (not one dollar goes to CSEA overhead).
Victory Club donations have helped us prevail in the past. Last summer, Victory Club funds helped pay for a successful radio campaign that helped us stop Gov. Schwarzenegger's attempt to repeal SB 1419. The Victory Club also helped elect the pro-education, pro-worker legislators who were not afraid to stand up to the governor and tell him that our jobs should not be contracted out to for-profit companies at lower wages with no benefits.
With the help of Victory Club donations, CSEA targeted and won dozens of school board and school bond campaigns across the state last November. Of the 64 school board candidates who received CSEA PACE contributions, more than 40 won. This success affects your job each and every day.
CSEA members are some of the greatest activists in public education. CSEA members are always there-walking precincts, phone banking and raising money for the Victory Club. You have helped elect better legislators and school board members. You have helped defeat harmful ballot initiatives. And you have helped CSEA have a stronger, more powerful voice at the district and at the State Capitol.
