Sathguru Vidyalaya is a humble contribution to Carnatic realm by Srimati Rama Thyagarajan. Founded five years back, based in Cupertino, California.

Smt. Rama Thyagarajan is the Founder and Artistic Director of "Sathguru Vidyalaya" a Silicon Valley music school. She teaches Carnatic Vocal and Carnatic violin. She has been teaching carnatic music classes in the Bay area for the past six years.

Smt. Rama Thyagarajan hails from the lineage of the legendary flautist Shri Saraba Sastry and known for her traditional and chaste music. She began her education on the fundamentals of carnatic music at the age of six from Shri Karur D.Krishnamoorthy. She continued her learning under the tutelage of Shri Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan and took advanced vocal training from Shri Thiruvaiyaru Gopalakrishnan. She also learnt violin from Shri Kandadevi Vijayaraghavan, and from Shri Akkarai Murugan.

She obtained her diploma in carnatic music from the Government of TamilNadu. She has given many concerts in India and in San Francisco Bay Area. She released a CD to raise funds for Shiva Murugan Temple in Concord, CA. In 2005 Rama Thyagarajan and her students conducted a fund raising program for Cancer Institute (WIA) Foundation benefiting Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai.
